ZINE was the first font designed for Macintóshico, a humor faxzine about Apple that I edited in 1992 with Heinar Maracy. A zine about the Mac couldn't be launched with just any font. In a last-minute idea, ZINE was designed in only 20 minutes. The glyphs were a single line with a stroke weight and no outline — something only the old Type 3 font format could do.
